The long awaited post

We had some friends over for dinner the other day. While we were talking and not paying attention, this is what happened. Somehow, Eva snuck the sour cream out of the fridge and decided to share with Gabe. The two of them were found in the living room chowin' down. My kids have got to be the weirdest kids ever. Who eats sour cream plain? Sick!

This is our family. We bought the armoire off of craigs list for $325. It's sold wood and extremely heavy. I really like it. The TV is in there and the doors slide open and back.

This is our formal living room. I'm not done with this room. We need some curtains and a few other things, but I'm making progress. I need Chelsey to hurry up and get here so she can help me do some finishing touches.

The outside of the house isn't much to look at...especially with the garbage in the front. I had houses with the garage in the front, but that's how they all are here unless you are willing to spend in the upper 300,000's or more.

Hans is in the process of putting a fence in our backyard. After that we have to work on getting some grass in. No one out here has good grass. It's all very sandy and lots of red ants. I do love having a deck. Too bad we don't have a matching patio set, but I'm not spending that much money on one right now. They are crazy expensive!

I love my table. I need two more chairs for it, but I'm very happy with it. It takes up too much room in that kitchen, but it works. I'm grateful for all my cuboard space. We also have a half bathroom on the wall to the right of the table. On the right side of the fridge, we have a pantry and a closet. The garage is also to the right. I don't have pictures of the upstairs yet because I'm not done up there. I'm a slacker.

This looks great, Lindsey! And your kids are pretty silly to eat sour cream.
We're glad you are settled into your house now!

I love that dining room tble!! And you do have lots of cupboard space. I'm jealous! :)
I actually really like the outside of your house. I am so utterly sick of brown stucco houses that anything that's different is a welcome change in my mind.
Love the place!
Yes, you have sick kids. I have never heard of any that would eat sour cream plain. Ick.

Cute house! I like how you have decorated and I really like your couches in your formal living room. Where did you get those? Did your kids get sick from the sour cream? It's funny what they'll eat:)

Your house is really cute. But your crazy and sometimes delusional Uncle Steve told me you were headed back to Germany? Is it true?

Your house is looking great! I love that you don't look like you have backyard neighbors (or at least your trees hide them). And when you are ready to get a patio set... I found a great one at Wal-mart of all places that is surprisingly good quality and looks good.

Your house looks really nice! How fun for you guys! My kids totally sneak their fingers into the sour cream when I'm not looking! Yuck! -Jen

Looks like you have been busy. Are you loving the shopping? Oh we are so jealous of you. And your kitchen! It is huge compared to German ones. :) Looks like you are enjoying your upgrades.

Who likes plain sour cream? Oma does. Apparently so does Eva and Gabe. Hmmm.........

We are very pleased with what you have done with the house! We like all the the furniture that you have gotten and the house looks very nice! Are those red ants fire ants? Anyway, we are trying very hard to get there in mid to late July. We will keep you posted as time allows.
Love,
Oma and Opa
